John 14:6 quotes Jesus as saying: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”  If Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, we should seek to understand the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the most truth possible.

WiseSaints.com is the product of an over 40-year vision to provide a forum for seeking Scriptural Christian TRUTH. There is very likely some truth in every statement or agenda put forth by anyone, even a lie sometimes is based upon some truth. Also, it is possible to find some truth in two opposing viewpoints while the actual truth lies somewhere in the middle. On this site, we are seeking the TRUTH as defined by the Bible and as corroborated by historical and scientific evidence.

John 18:37-38 records Jesus telling Pontius Pilate that He came into the world to bear witness to the TRUTH and that those who are of the truth hear His voice.  Pilate responded by asking sarcastically or rhetorically, “What is truth?”  This implies that Pilate is not “of the truth,” or Pilate would have recognized Jesus as the Truth:  “Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”  Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”  Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.”

While we know that it is impossible for any one of us to know all of the truth with total certainty, we do know that if we engage in honest investigation and always keep an open mind to the addition of new evidence, we can facilitate this search for TRUTH.

It is important to us that everyone understands the difference between compromise and a consensus of truth.  We are not asking anyone to compromise their values and beliefs, but we are asking that both sides of an issue recognize the strength and weakness of each side of an argument and seek to get as close to understanding the truth as possible.  That is what we mean by “consensus of truth”.  If a truthful consensus cannot be reached, then each side should concede their weaknesses and let the issue rest until additional evidence can be presented and discussed.

Having said that, you are free to join the discussion through comment but each comment will first need to be submitted for approval by Wise Saints.  All comments that attack the messenger rather than logically discuss the weaknesses and/or strengths of a position, will be rejected.  We are a peace-loving site and insist that all who comment remain peace-loving and orderly with good manners and respect.

WE ARE NOT A POLITICAL WEBSITE AND DO NOT ALLOW POLITICAL COMMENT.  FURTHERMORE, THIS SITE DOES NOT CALL UPON ANYONE TO ENGAGE IN ANY POLITICAL ACTION OR POLITICAL ACTIVISIM.  OUR CALL IS TO SEEK THE TRUTH OFJESUS.  JUST AS HE SAID, “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.”  NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.  OUR GOAL IS TO LEAD THE WAY IN SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH OF THE KINGDOM OF GOD.  IN DISCOVERING THE TRUTH ABOUT JESUS, WE SHOULD DISCOVER THE TRUTH ABOUT THE KINDGOM OF GOD.

In Mark 12:13-17, the Pharisees and the Herodians sought to trap Jesus by putting Him to a choice of offending the population or offending Rome.  Jesus handled the choice wisely.  But not only was his statement profound, it was also true.  The passage goes as follows:

“Then they sent to Him some of the Pharisees and the Herodians, to catch Him in His words. When they had come, they said to Him, “Teacher, we know that You are true, and care about no one; for You do not regard the person of men, but teach the way of God in truth. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not? Shall we pay, or shall we not pay?”  But He, knowing their hypocrisy, said to them, “Why do you test Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may see it.” So they brought it.  And He said to them, “Whose image and inscription is this?” They said to Him, “Caesar’s.”  And Jesus answered and said to them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.”  And they marveled at Him.”

The point of this is that we at WiseSaints.com feel very strongly this passage applies to this website.  We believe God wants us to give to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to give to God what is God’s.  Therefore, let the politicians debate the political issues.  We will debate the Kingdom of God as taught by Jesus Christ.  Our mission to seek truth about God, creation and salvation through the death, burial and resurrection from the dead of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, son of Joseph and Mary as portrayed in the Bible.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the Truth and the life”.  We seek to understand the Truth of Jesus, the way to the Father, and the benefit of eternal life.
